Team Composition

Here is a basic speedrunning layout. The tank normally has a strike set for Marl and a SNS instead of GS for the Greenskeeper.

Strategy

Start

  • Run past the hive.

Bridge, Part I

  • One person goes down the stairs on the left and gets the concentrated blight unlocking the door to the Taxodius arena.
  • Everyone else attacks the named archer Forcos. The tank should focus on keeping him away from the soldier by placing themselves between the archer and the soldier so that when the archer does his evade shot ability he jumps away.
  • Once the archer is dead everyone can move to the Taxodius arena, dragging any left over mobs.

Taxodius Arena

  • The tank should run to the far side and taunt and then start to move backwards from Taxodius, moving him out of the blight in the middle of the room and closer to the exit.
  • Heavy attacks to break his stamina and then DPS while he is in his downed state.

Nursery

  • Everyone but one DPS runs past the archer and fiends straight to the named shaman Gorgyri.
  • The person that doesn’t run straight to the shaman collects the Earthpine gatherable in the water at the bottom of the stairs. This is the first gatherable.
  • Grouping the fiends on top of Gorgyri is key so you can cleave everything down as fast as possible.
  • The tank should focus on trying to keep Gorgyri knocked down as much as possible.
  • Just before Gorgyri dies, and once the fiends are all dead, the person that got the concentrated blight should go and cleanse in the shrine at the back of that area.
  • Kill the archer from the bottom of the stairs.

Imbued font

  • The person that cleansed at the shrine should plant the seed in the imbued font.
  • Group each of the three waves of the mobs on the tree and cleave them down.
  • One person collects the sapling branch.

Hallway

  • Run down the hallway stickng to the right-hand side and tight to the tree that is next to the pillar with the flame on top.
  • Stick close to the tree as you round the corner on the right to avoid the names mob Taxi.
  • Run past the shaman, up the stairs on the right and through the door.

Blighted Sanctum

  • Run down the hallway, sticking to the left and avoiding the soldier.
  • Kill the archer and fiends at the top of the stairs.
  • One person should collect the shockspire gatherable on the left before the stairs. This is the second gatherable.

Caretaker’s Greenhouse

  • This is a good time to swap to a strike set if you have one.
  • DPS Marl until he puts up the vine arena.
  • Everyone sticks inside the arena.
  • Continue to DPS Marl until he starts diving. A good rule of thumb is to get him down to 30% or lower before he starts diving. If you can’t do this it is a signal your DPS is too low.
  • Stand together in the middle as much as possible.
  • Kill the mushroom just before Marl jumps for the last time. Make sure the DPS are as close as possible so they can get the buff from the Empowering Spores.
  • Kill Marl before the walls come down and the mobs rush in.
  • The person that has the sapling should go and get the flame, the other 4 should unstuck to the start of the expedition.
  • The person that grabs the flame should go through the doors as normal, stick to the right so you dont aggro the soldier on the bridge. Stick to the right but don’t go up the stairs, go under the bridge dragging the fiends to your group to kill.

Bridge, Part II

  • This is a good point to swap back to your elemental protection set.
  • The main group should run to the bridge and then jump off the left hadn side after the first set of stairs
  • Group on the archer and fiends under the bridge and cleave them down.
  • Run to O’Dus and group all the mobs on him and cleave them and him down. The tank should run to the right hand side of O’Dus and taunt him next to the pillar in front of the door.
  • One person should grab the gatherable on the right hand side near the pillar before the water. This is the third gatherable.
  • The person with the flame should stick to the left-hand side and stand behind the other pillar so that if O’Dus does his pull attack you don’t die. you can open the door when your group has broken his stamina or once he is dead.
  • The person with the flame should go through the door and put the flame in the dish. try to avoid pulling the aggro of the archer. You have time to spare here normally if you got through before O’Dus has died.
  • Watch your mob count here and ensure that you’ll have enough, if not you will need to kill some fiends from the hive on the left-hand side.

Conservatory

  • The team should run through the door and jump over the ledge trying to avoid pulling the aggro of the archer. If you can’t get through within a couple of seconds it will be quicker to just kill the archer rather than wait.
  • The tank should wait until the named archer Fulg’Da is on the left-hand side of the tree he patrols. The tank should run up to the right of that tree and taunt so that Fulg’Da jumps back toward the exit and not toward the soldier.
  • Once Fulg’Da is dead one DPS should grab the Earthspine in the water. This is the fourth gatherable.

Greenskeeper Arena

  • When the Greenskeeper does her Burrow, everyone should kill the two dryad soldiers that are spawned and then stand together in sacred blocking.
  • Once the Greenskeeper resurfaces from her Burrow ability she will do a couple of basic attacks and then a Overhead Smash ability. When The Greenskeeper does this the healer should ensure that they are in a safe spot away from the Greenskeeper because she will throw down a boulder and if everyone is on top of her, she will dive and move costing time. If someone in the group has an IG, this will also work allowing the healer to stay close.
